It’ll never be perfect, but I sure don’t pay it much mind anymore, and that’s a good thing.
This story is so long, that I’ve got friends who knew me before, only after I broke it, or only after surgery… to the last group, it’s hard to explain how significant an impact this had on my life – but I hardly care to anyway – certainly now that it’s only a series of bad memories…
I hope this is the final update.

2009-08-21 – Injure left wrist while moving couch
2009-08-24 – Walk-In clinic doctor doesn’t even look at it, offers drugs, fails to refer me to another doctor
2009-09-27 – See Dr. T for the first time, suspects Scapho-lunate Dissociation/Tear, TFCC injury, possible fracture
2009-09-28 – X-Rays, inconclusive for soft-tissue damage, no bone fractures observed
2009-10-05 – Hand doubles in size for no new reason
2009-10-08 – Start physiotherapy & Celebrex
2009-10-21 – Physiotherapist gives up, nothing is helping
2009-11-29 – MRI performed using a 3 Tesla machine at the Mont Fort hospital, finds a cyst, tendonitis, no soft-tissue damage
2009-12-17 – Not happy with the course of action, I revisit Dr. T and demand more
2010-01-06 – Bone scan, I light up too much, but nothing significant found beyond that
2010-01-12 – Consult with Occupational Therapist, is very concerned and tells me not to use my hand at all
2010-01-21 – Dr. T refers me to Dr. L, a plastics & hand surgeon (5th month of being injured today)
2010-02-25 – Initial consult Dr. L
2010-03… – Nothing much happens, other than chasing Dr. L for updates, there are none…
2010-12-ish – Got a cool brace, but starting to think Dr. L never sent the referral…
2011-01-25 – … nope, never did…
2011-03-08 – … but he finally does, a year late.
2011-10-05 – SURGICAL CONSULT BOOKED! and a bonus MRI
2011-11-07 – MRI at Civic, didn’t go well.
2011-12-20 – Welp – guess I’m having surgery!
2012-01-23 – Surgery!
2012-01-30 – Check-up #1
2012-02-22 – Cast comes off! It’s weird.
2012-03-27 – Check-up #2 – It’s good!
2012-06-13 – Check-up #3, resume normal life…
2012-08-21 – 3 years since this started, feeling good!
2012-12-26 – First time Skiing! This is huge!!!
2013-01-15 – Final Check-up, #4 – “I hope I never see you again.”
2013-08-21 – 4 years later: What was all that about?
