5C vs. 5S – Who cares?

Space Grey is the New Black

Apple announced their new 5C and 5S iPhones today. What I think they’ve failed to do is differentiate between the 5C and 5S.

If the finger-print data “never touches Apple’s servers”, then who’s servers does it touch?

If I go with the 5C, what do I miss out on? A camera upgrade, fingerprint reader and 64 bit CPU? Plastic vs. metal backs?

I’m willing to bet 95% of customers couldn’t care
Cuz… well, I’m a techhead and *I* can barely care.
What does the backing material matter when most people put ’em in cases?

My 4S is doing just fine right now, and I’m having a hard time thinking that when it comes time to replace it, what would be wrong with going with the 5C? Unless they’ve ripped out the gyro/attitude sensors completely (this is doubt: games?), the 4S does what I need, the 5C would too.

It’s also curious that they don’t mention how many megapixels the new 5S’ camera is.
