Peacefully on January 23, 2013 in his 92nd year. Father of Bernhard (Christina) and Thomas. Grandfather of Alia, Michael and Stefan. Great-grandfather of Samara. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte (1999). Son of Prof. Dr. Hans Geiger and Elisabeth Heffter, brother of Roland and Jürgen.

   Klaus brought his family from Germany in 1952 to begin his career at the NRC. In 1957 they moved to Chapman Blvd in Elmvale Acres. By his retirement he was head of the X-Rays and Nuclear Radiation Section, had authored many scientific papers and mentored many researchers. Klaus and Charlotte loved camping, hiking, nature, travel and the cottage on Otty Lake.

   Thanks to Marianne Gissler and the many staff at Col By Residence, Carlingview Manor and St. Patrick’s Home for their loving care over the last eight years.
