Stef, my brother, has been studying at Carleton University… this past year he took Chemistry 1000.
Stef: “I’m in Chem 1000, in the fall I told my prof who I was and that I’d never even seen a Geiger Counter in person. He got really excited and asked if he could introduce me when we did nuclear chemistry. I said yes.”
Since his section of Chem 1000 is broadcast on television (and podcast!)… not only did Stef get (another) 15 minutes of fame on campus – but also for the world to see…
For those of you completely unaware, Hans Geiger, our Great-Grandfather, was the inventor of the Geiger Counter, which detects and measures alpha, beta and gamma radiation.
