I can stay up so very late so easily, but to pull back and go to bed early in order to wake early, uhg, such a chore. Takes me days if not weeks to get settled into an early day. But that’s what happens when you have a client that wants you on-site 9-5 (roughly.) It doesn’t help that I’ve been running quite the sleep deficit this week, nor that more than three people have hurt or angered me in as many days. And all is forgiven.

I am glad I have double-blinds on my window, one of the neighbours has installed new lamps that I swear are mercury-halide arc-lamps. Now I have to do something about the thirty-something LEDs on my desk, and the cacophony of wallwarts. At least my Mac Mini is quiet, as is it’s Seagate hard drive. Listening to boring podcasts is another good way to drift off, but headphones can be a challenge, I’ve taken to using the included iPod buds, they don’t sound good, but they generally don’t hurt too badly to lie on.

Waking up is just so much more fun. Not. This guy has started using caffeinated soap; one must really question the efficacity of such a thing, from what I’ve been told, trans-dermal absorption is very limited. Makes you wonder how and if smoker’s patches are beneficial. I suspect it’s really the peppermint oil that’s giving him all the perk.
Oh – and going back to 3 meals a day… yikes. Good thing I stocked up on Pepsi a little while ago. Always part of a balanced diet.
I usually avenge the rise of the Big Blown Pixel (Evil Daystar) by sleeping through it. Guess I can’t do that anymore. I will have to resume posting Morning Is Evil Threads on ARS (20041028 and 20050705 were particularily amusing.)
