Setup a little network for a client tonight. Gave her a free upgrade on the WRT54G so that I could have the old, hackable WRT54G for hacking purposes 🙂
She’s not likely to use the WiFi, probably doesn’t even know what that’s all about… but I set it up and secured it (WPA2, long password)… and since all Wireless networks need a name, “Please Wait…” is it!
Sounds dumb, right? I still hesitated the first 3 times I saw it come up on the WiFi selector – and I set the thing up.
This all came from a thread in my diary on UF: Funny SSIDs. I’d actually come up with it one day while driving to Helno’s place. Not sure why I was thinking of SSIDs while making the left from Bank St. to Johnson Rd., but I did. And now you get a ‘blog post about it.
And for those of you who clicked the image, my wallpaper is from the Over The Hedge site. Not that I’ve seen thte movie, but the graphics are just darn slick.
It now occurs to me that “Other…” would also make for a fun SSID 😉
