I’m charging my Razr on my Mac – which is pretty cool because I don’t _need_ to hook up the power supply, so I can throw that in my travel kit.
Oh – Did I mention I got a new cell-phone? 🙂
It can charge from a USB connection.
A *Black* Motorola Razr V3 and a matching Motorola HS830 BlueTooth Headset. So far it’s been pretty cool, the headset integration couldn’t be better, you can even invert the volume buttons if you use it on the other (left) side of your head. With regards to the phone, there’s a number of subtle things and one big thing that I miss from my Motorola i830 (iDen) phone: Profiles. I’ve got a profile for ‘Normal’, ‘Vibrate’ and ‘Car’, and each one defines the font-size, visual theme, alerts and volumes, and even call-filters (ie: You’re not on my directory, you go straight to voicemail). I know the Razr can do some of this, but it’s not the same, and I really like how it’s done on the iDen phones. Not a bad phone tho.
Next steps for me are to pair the phone with my laptop for Internet access on the road, and then I’ll try pairing the headset with the laptop so I can use XTen when I’m not at my desk.
Got my name in the phone number too 🙂
