Valued EI Catalyst Customer,

Earlier this morning, the EI Catalyst network experienced a service
interuption which was found to be caused by a faulty Peer1 power demark
at 151 Front St. W.

While power has been restored, the faulty Peer1 power demark must be
immediately replaced to ensure continued network operations as well
as future power stability.

At 10:15am EST today, November 18th 2005, this emergency maintenance
will be performed to replace the defective part. There will be an
associated network outage while this work is completed.

We expect the total downtime to be on the order of 2-3 minutes.

While we regret having to perform this work during daytime hours,
we have every reason to believe that this power demark may fail again
at any time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
